Our Karate Journey

Discover the Karate Experience

JKS Zanshin are invested in bringing the values of karate into everything we do. Neil sensei started this club in 2023 and in 2025 Anthony sensei joined to help push the club to further heights. In 2023 Anthony sensei became the English -60kg champion after years of hard work, after this in 2024 Anthony sensei travelled with Neil sensei to Japan for the JKS World Championships. At the JKS Worlds Neil sensei, an assistant National coach, helped to coach at one of the biggest stages of all. Whilst Neil sensei was coaching, Anthony sensei was competing in both Kata (forms) and Kumite (fighting -67kg) achieving a 7th place and 5th place respectively for both Neil and Anthony sensei's first time at the level.  In 2025 Anthony sensei continued to improve and became the British Champion in -60kg category.  And in September 2025 Neil and Anthony sensei will be travelling to Copenhagen to compete in the JKS Europeans.
